Black Barrel returns to Dispatch Recordings with a bang with the "Play EP". Four varied and eclectic tracks packed with his distinctive production flavour. Easily recognisable by his vocal sampling style and quick edits with precision percussion, the Russian roller brings the funk every time.

The dub inspired "Whatah Bang" sees Black Barrel’s glitched out take on dubwise. The heavy hitting title track "Play" contrasts bright atmospherics with an infectious, growling bass. "Somebody Serious” matches serious bass modulation with a hard stepping drum line and "Burn Up" slowly builds and twists through rumble bass and spaced out breaks.
